In the recent YouTube video titled “The New YouTube Shorts Update: Discovering the Love!”, the host introduces a hidden feature on YouTube shorts. Did you know you can scrub through the timeline of a YouTube short by tapping and dragging your finger along the bottom of the screen? This red line represents the timeline, allowing you to skip forward and backward without having to wait for the short to loop again. However, this feature is only available for shorts that are longer than 20 seconds, and unfortunately, it doesn’t work when watching shorts on the desktop version of YouTube. It’s quite baffling that it pauses the video instead of allowing you to scrub. If you’re curious, try it out on your phone and gain some extra watch time!
